About

I’m just a man. I look for win – win outcomes as often as possible. I believe that our attitude colors our world … that life is as wonderful as we choose to make it. I don’t know everything about everything, but I am open to new experiences and know that learning never stops… I believe that we all have the potential to improve and grow. Determination and positivity are very powerful forces, and when we harness these within ourselves truly great things can happen.

As humans, we have the power to choose, the potential to make poor choices and the ability to learn from our mistakes. We have created a society where greed sometimes motivates companies to put profits before the health of consumers. We have created a world where often convenience has become more important than making smarter choices.

Change can be hard for many … we are Β creatures of habit, but knowledge is power. We have the power to solve many of our health issues and environmental concerns.

I hope this website can be one more place to connect and share good things.

If you would like to support and encourage my efforts, I would appreciate it Β

  1. Hey MisterPete, I’ve been a fan of your blog for a while now, and I was recently nominated for the Leibster award. It involves nominating other blogs – and I’ve chosen yours as one of the ones I really enjoy. Kind of like a chain letter I suppose (which I don’t like), but the intent is to provide additional exposure, which I can support.

You can find details at http://thezombieshuffle.com/2015/03/20/and-the-award-goes-to/. Whether you choose to do it or not is up to you.

    • I am unsure about blogs, but I have enjoyed readings by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Don Miguel Ruiz …
I am currently reading The Toa of Love Every Day by Derek Lin.

  2. Thank you for your consistently upbeat and informative and wise blog posts! I agree that “we have created a society where greed (often) motivates companies to put profits before the health of consumers. (And) we have created a world where often convenience has become more important than making smarter choices. Change can be hard for many … we are Β creatures of habit, but knowledge is power.” I’ve been spending a week with relatives in a rented house in Western Massachusetts and am quietly heart-broken by how many lights and fans are left on in empty rooms, how many expeditions to go for a walk start with a car drive, how many times my relatives drive their cars to a nearby beach which is only a 12 minute walk away, etc. etc. etc. And these are all people who can talk very compellingly about climate change and peak oil β€” and we even have a wonderful three-year-old among us whose presence (and whose increasingly challenging future due to corporate greed and the siren song of convenience and human ignorance and poor human choices) seems not to have changed anyone’s personal choices/habits regarding energy consumption one iota. Deep sigh. As we sing in a song Pete Seeger adapted from a Russian poem, I think β€” “when will we ever learn? when will se ever learn….”

    • You are welcome ~ thanks for positive feedback ⭐️
These are challenging times for many of us, but I am confident that with a little informed common sense and positivity we can see some better times in the not too distant future.
